Use static for an unchanging payload
A static QR directly contains the URL, Wi-Fi details, text, or other payload. It can keep working without a hosted redirect, but changing the destination requires creating and distributing a new code.
Use dynamic for a campaign route
A dynamic QR points to a short Whooshly route. You can update the destination and measure scans without changing the printed pattern. This is the safer choice for menus, events, packaging, signs, and other placements that may outlive the first destination.
Make the decision
Ask one question: could the destination, reporting need, or campaign owner change while this code is still in circulation? If yes, choose Dynamic. If the encoded value must remain self-contained and unchanged, choose Static.
