About Whooshly

I built the tool I couldn't find.

Whooshly is a small, independent product. It started as a fix for my own problem, and it's still built by the person who had it.

The story

Why I started Whooshly

I run an AEO and SEO agency, and I ship my own SaaS products on the side. Between client campaigns and my own launches I kept doing the same four things: shorten a link, generate a QR code for something going to print, tag it with UTMs so attribution wasn't a guess, and hand someone a card or a bio page that actually tracked.

Every tool that did those things well wanted a monthly subscription – and metered how many clicks I was allowed to have. Multiply that across a dozen clients and a handful of products, and I was renting a small fortune's worth of what is, honestly, a redirect with a nice dashboard.

So I looked for a friendly, all-in-one option that didn't lock me into a subscription. I couldn't find one. So I built it, for myself first – and Whooshly is what came out: short links, QR codes, UTMs, digital business cards, and link-in-bio on one fast engine, bought once.

If you run campaigns for more than one thing, you already know the feeling. That's exactly who this is for.

What that means for you

The rules I built it on.

You should own your tools

One payment, not a rental you lose the day a card expires. The core toolkit is yours for good.

Your clicks aren't a metering opportunity

No caps on links, clicks, or scans. Getting popular shouldn't trigger an upgrade email.

No lock-in, ever

Export everything, anytime. If you leave, you take your data with you – that's the deal.

Fast is a feature

Every redirect runs on a global edge network, close to whoever tapped it. Speed isn't a paid tier.

The fair question

"Will it still be here in two years?"

It's the right thing to ask about anything sold once, and I'd rather answer it than dodge it.

The honest answer is that the core is genuinely cheap to run. A short link is a redirect on a global edge network: it costs a fraction of a cent, and it doesn't get more expensive just because you got popular. There's no per-seat cost and no server sitting idle waiting for your traffic.

The things that do cost money every month – custom domains, long-retention analytics, smart routing – live in the optional Pro add-on. That's what funds the recurring side of the business, so the one-time price doesn't have to.

That's why pay-once isn't a gimmick here. The economics actually work, which is the only reason a promise like this is worth making.

Built for people who ship campaigns.

Own the whole toolkit for one price – the way I wanted it.
