Short-link migration: map the move before signup.
Use the provider-neutral preview when your export is not from Bitly or Dub. It recognizes common destination, short URL, slug, alias, title, and custom-ending columns, then gives you a clean migration inventory before signup.
Your file stays in this browser while we build the preview. Nothing is stored until you choose to continue.

Continue stores this draft for one hour so it survives signup. The import still shows every collision before anything is left behind.
Three steps.
Include the destination URL and, where possible, the current short URL or slug. Titles are optional.
Whooshly maps common column names, preserves usable endings, and flags rows with missing destinations or duplicate paths.
Download a clean CSV or continue into the bulk importer. Nothing changes at the old provider during preview.
The columns the preview understands
Destination headers can be named destination URL, destination, long URL, target, original URL, or URL. Existing routes can use short link, custom link, short URL, slug, back-half, keyword, alias, custom ending, or path. If the file uses different headings, rename those columns and upload it again.
A migration recreates routes; it does not transfer a vendor's domain
A shared hostname owned by another service cannot be carried into Whooshly. The reusable parts are the destination, title, and usually the ending. A custom domain you own is different: after verification and route checks, you can point that hostname at Whooshly and preserve eligible paths.
Turn a messy export into a migration plan.
Normalize the portfolio first. Then move only the routes you want, with collisions visible before anything goes live.
Frequently asked questions
Which providers does this migration preview support?
It is designed for common short-link CSV shapes. Bitly and Dub have dedicated pages; generic exports work when they contain a recognizable destination column and optionally a short URL, slug, alias, title, or path.
What if the column names are different?
Rename the destination column to destination and the existing path column to slug, then upload again. You can also download the normalized CSV after a successful preview.
Can this transfer a competitor-owned short domain?
No. Only that provider controls its shared hostname. Whooshly can recreate destinations and available endings on whshly.co or on a custom domain you own.
Does previewing cancel or change my old account?
No. The browser reads the file without contacting the old provider. Keep the old routes active until the new routes and any DNS cutover have been verified.
